The 2022 Ford F-750 is offered with a choice between the new two main engine types. The first is a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine making 350 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque.
The second main option and first of three diesel options is the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel, making 270 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. Both engine options are paired with the 6-speed TorqShift heavy-duty automatic transmission.
Does the Ford F-750 require a CDL?
A commercial driver’s license, or CDL, is needed to drive any vehicle that weighs over 26,000 lbs legally. Well, it just so happens that the biggest Ford pickup truck in its lightest form is 20,000 lbs and can be configured to weigh up to 26,000. It also has air brakes, but for some reason, you don’t have to have an air brake endorsement either.
As long as the weight remains at or below that 26,000-lb mark, no CDL is required, and licensed drivers can buy and drive the biggest Ford pickup truck ever made.
How much does a 2022 Ford F-750 cost?
Ford starts the pricing at $57,620 and climbs up to $72,325. If you consider that this is the biggest Ford pickup truck ever made, that seems pretty reasonable. The truck comes with no bed as standard, so customers can order it with whatever back end they prefer.
The Ford F-750 isn’t all brawn and no brains, either. This behemoth has a pile of on-road safety features, and driver assists like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control, lane departure warning, Driver Alert System, and auto high-beam headlamps.
The F-750 offers so much in the way of working potential that the price really feels negligible. If you are into getting the biggest Ford pickup truck around, you can actually drive these.
