The iX M60 makes a whopping 532 horsepower. That’s more horses than the BMW X5 M50i final trim. Who says electric vehicles can’t be quick?
The BMW iX is quick enough to compete with both gas-powered luxury midsize SUVs and electric luxury midsize SUVs. U.S. News & World Report gave the iX a higher ranking than the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Tesla Model X, Tesla Model Y, and Audi e-tron. The iX is quickly becoming the model to beat in its segment.
Is the BMW iX worth the money?
Consumers don’t buy a Bimmer for affordability. Drivers buy BMW automobiles to experience luxurious cabins and fine German engineering. The iX is every bit as much a BMW as its gas-powered ancestors. The German automaker managed to keep the luxury electric midsize SUV close to its origins while still making it innovative enough to be exciting.
So, is the iX worth paying over $84K? That’s entirely up to you, but it does offer incredible standard features like perforated Sensatec upholstery, a floating center console, and an upholstered instrument panel with stitching. It also features standard adjustable ambient lighting, wireless device charging, and a panoramic eclipsing sky-longue roof.
