Have you met Bob? Bob is the latest Jeep Gladiator Concept to feast your eyes upon. The Jeep Gladiator Bob Concept has us drooling as it blurs the line between the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models. 

The Jeep Gladiator Bob needs to happen 

First things first, the Jeep Gladiator Bob concept isn’t just a Jeep Wrangler. It combines the best of both worlds from the Wrangler and Gladiator to create a new vehicle with the bobbing trend of long overhangs of pickup truck beds. 

Reducing the length helps the Jeep truck become more capable of tackling the wild. This concept reduced the Gladiator’s bed by an entire foot. 

The regular Gladiator is 218 inches long and 73.8 inches wide, which is great for truck stuff. However, sometimes the size of the Gladiator can impact its ability to fit on narrower trails. 

But the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Bob has improved approach angles with custom steel bumpers and high clearance fender flares for larger rolling stock. It also has a three-inch lift and rides on 20-inch Beadlock wheels wrapped in 40-inch tires. 

Dynatrac Pro-Rock 60 axles with a mix of King Coils and Bypass shocks help the Gliadoatr Bob conquer the terrain as well. 

How much power does the Gladiator Bob have? 

The Jeep Gladiator Bob concept is powered by a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine with 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. In the regular Gladiator, this engine only cranks out 440 lb-ft of torque. So, the Bob has an impressive amount of extra torque. 

Also, the Gladiator is available with the 3.6-liter V6 engine with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Gladiator can tow up to 7,650 lbs, and the Wrangler can tow up to 3,500 lbs. It’s unclear how much the Bob can haul. 

The Bob sends power to its wheels with a TorqueElite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission that’s calibrated for low RMP shifts. It’s equipped with a Mopar cold-air intake to boost torque and improve its fuel economy. 

The regular Gladiator EcoDiesel gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and up to 28 mpg on the highway. 

The Gladiator Bob has style 

Ladies may know that the Bob is a popular haircut, and the Jeep Gladiator Bob looks great with open-air freedom. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, the doors and the B-pillars have been removed. 

The Bob has a custom hardtop with an orange canvas top that stretches over the roof. It provides shelter while allowing natural light to shine into the cabin. Plus, the bright orange seats are attractive. 

Some people reacted poorly to the Ford Bronco Raptor’s massive fender flares, but the Gladiator Bob managed to create a performance-enhancing design that doesn’t compromise style. 

Hopefully, the Gladiator, with a shorter wheelbase and massive tires, will enter production. But only time will tell. Jeep introduced new concepts in Moab to gauge customer reactions to new ideas.
