Broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Finally Dies a Snowy Death After Fire
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has proven itself to be outstandingly durable in this series of destructive videos. This TRX story began just a few weeks ago with StreetSpeed717 on YouTube.
After a series of exceedingly profitable videos, this TRX jumped a river, got 44-inch tires, went for a swim, crushed some cars, and even was set on fire. Now it seems this 702-hp off-roader appears ready to throw in the towel for good.
How did this broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX saga begin?
This broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX story began a few weeks ago with what seemed like a subtle jump. Since the TRX’s suspension is designed to handle jumps, StreetSpeed717 decided to put the truck to the test. However, after misjudging his speed at the beginning of the jump, the truck caught more air than expected. After a violent crash with the ground, there was widespread damage.
Upon examining his now broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, StreetSpeed 717 found various broken components. The first involved the rear window’s glass, which had completely shattered. A quick look throughout the bodywork revealed that both the bed and cab had also sustained severe damage.
However, one of the most shocking bits of damage came from the truck’s suspension. This is because one of the brackets that hold the Bilstein suspension’s remote reservoir had completely snapped. As a result, this truck was literally falling apart.
The next videos included a river swim, crushed cars, and even a fire
Since the damage had been done on this brand-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, StreetSpeed717 decided to kick things up a notch considerably. This included adding 44-inch mud tires with eight wheel spacers on each corner of the truck. From there, the truck was taken to a river for a quick swim. At this point, the truck appears to be working normally, aside from the apparent visual damage.
Since this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX now had enormous 44-inch tires, the next logical step was to drive it over some old cars. However, during this follow up video, the truck began to show signs of trouble. While on top of the two crushed cars, the truck’s all-wheel-drive system seemingly gave up, leaving it with rear-wheel-drive exclusively. However, letting the truck sit for a few minutes appeared to have fixed the issue.
From there, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX was eventually set on fire to close off the video, adding to the overall destruction. The next series of videos saw StreetSpeed717 racing the truck and taking it around town to a Ram dealership. However, after all of these stunts, it seems the truck is ready to give up.
It seems the Ram is just about ready to give up
In the newest broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX update, we see the battered truck driving in the snow. However, at this point, the TRX has 44-inch tires in the front and the stock ones in the rear, making for an unusual combination. The video opens up with a Ford F-150 Raptor towing the Ram out of a snowy embankment. What makes this particularly peculiar is that the TRX should have no trouble handling this kind of situation.
Once the broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX was pulled out, a severe problem became visible. This is because the truck seemingly couldn’t move under its own power anymore. We could see the rear tires spinning slightly, but the truck seemed reluctant to move. Whether this is a powertrain or software issue, it seems the TRX may be at the end of its brief and profitable life. Regardless, it proves that this massive off-roader is seriously tough for even carrying on this far.
