The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is undoubtedly one of the most desirable pickup trucks of the moment. With 702-hp from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 under the hood, there isn’t anything else like it. Additionally, once you consider that the TRX can handle off-roading jumps, there’s no denying its immense capabilities. After accidentally getting carried away, Street Speed 717 on YouTube broke his brand-new truck, slapped on some massive tires, and took it to a small river.

How did this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX break in the first place?

Before we give in to the massive tires and the river crossing, let’s look at exactly how this truck got wrecked in the first place. Upon taking delivery of his 2021 Ram 1500 TRX and driving it home, Street Speed 717 decided to do a bit of off-roading, which involved what seemed like a small jump. As a result, the YouTuber lined up the truck and decided to take on the jump. However, upon reaching the end of the hill, he quickly realized he was going way too fast, about 60 mph when he hit the air.

As you can imagine, the 6,396-lb 2021 Ram 1500 TRX slammed into the ground after flying through the sky for an unsettling amount of time. After sticking the landing, we can clearly see the truck driving off in the video. However, upon close inspection, a significant amount of damage is revealed.

Once Street Speed 717 parked the Ram 1500 TRX to give it a look, you can quickly tell that the bed crashed into the cab. The force was so strong that it shattered all of the rear glass windows. Upfront, the TRX’s enormous metal protective plating was severely bent, hiding broken components behind it. Surprisingly, the off-roading suspension managed to survive the jump without completely exploding. Regardless, this truck was properly broken.

Might as well go through a muddy lake at this point

If your brand-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is already severely broken, there is no reason to stop there. As a result, in a new video by Street Speed 717, we see that the YouTuber decided to add massive 44-inch tires on all four corners.

As you’d expect, these tires don’t simply bolt on to the stuck since the standard body can’t handle their immense size. To make this unusual swap work properly, Street Speed 717 purchased 32 separate wheel spacers. The idea was to bolt eight of them to each corner, allowing for enough clearance for the tires.

Miraculously, the 44-inch Mud Bogger tires were successfully attached to the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, and this off-roading adventure was on. Since this truck has a total power output of 702-hp, it did not struggle even with the immense added weight. From there, Street Speed 717 took the truck off-roading yet again.

Unlike last time, the main obstacle was a small river, which might stump a standard TRX. However, given the massive tires’ added ground clearance, the truck went through the water without issue.

Can this truck ever be fixed?

Chances are, this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX can be fixed properly, although it will take plenty of time and cash. Although this special edition truck has many unique components, plenty of them are shared with standard models. As a result, sourcing parts such as the rear glass windows shouldn’t cause a major problem.

However, given how new this truck is, finding these parts isn’t exactly a walk in the part. As a result, it will take some time before this truck resembles what it once was.
