Broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX With 44-Inch Tires Returns to the Dealership After Fire
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is already an extreme truck. With a 702-hp engine and upgraded suspension, the TRX can tackle just about anything. However, StreetSpeed717 on YouTube really put this claim to the test in a recent series of videos.
This series began with a misjudged jump, which completely destroyed a brand-new TRX. From there, it got 44-inch mud tires and went for a casual swim. To top things off, the truck was eventually set on fire. After all of this, the truck now heads back to the dealership for a quick oil change.
How did this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX break in the first place?
This broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX story began just a few weeks ago. At this point, StreetSpeed717 picked up the truck from a dealership and subsequently road-tripped it home. Upon arriving, the truck was immediately put to the test with a sizeable off-roading jump. What seemed like a simple jump quickly turned into a severe situation. After carrying too much speed, the TRX flew into the air, as you can see above. As you might expect, it violently slammed into the ground.
After much of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX’s bodywork and suspension were broken, StreetSpeed717 decided to take things even further. This included adding eight wheel spacers on each of the truck’s corners. From there, 44-inch mud tires got bolted on. To test how far this truck would go, it was subsequently taken through a small river. What is most impressive of this entire series of videos is just how robust the TRX truly is.
It was then set on fire after crushing some cars
Once the broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX had proved it could cross a river, the next obstacle was a set of parked cars. This included an old Volkswagen Passat and a Dodge Intrepid. As the truck drove up to crush the cars, its all-wheel-drive system began to malfunction. At this point, we could truly see that the videos and sustained abuse were beginning to take their toll. As a result, the truck’s all-wheel-drive system eventually quit, leaving it with rear-wheel-drive exclusively.
If that wasn’t enough, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX was set on fire toward the end of one of the latest videos. Since the bodywork was already largely destroyed, a small fire couldn’t exactly do much worse. At this point, the video closed off with what we thought would be the end of this battered truck.
This TRX finally returns to the dealership for a quick oil change
In this recent update, the broken 2021 Ram 1500 TRX takes a trip to a local dealership. However, since driving on the road with 44-inch tires isn’t exactly legal, they had to be transported separately. As a result, StreetSpeed717 had to mount the spacers and tires in a local parking lot. Once the battered truck arrived at the dealership, many sales associates came out to see it.
In a hilarious twist, StreetSpeed717 jokingly asked the sales associates if he could collect on his free oil change. After a few laughs, one of the sales associates actually got to drive the TRX. In the end, the truck hit the road and visited a couple of other spots around town, gathering tons of attention. While it sucks to see the destruction of a brand-new truck, it certainly makes for an entertaining series of videos.
