Buick’s Updates to the 2020 Enclave Are the Epitome of Luxury
The first production of the Buick Enclave began in 2008, with the model achieving overnight success. Ten years later GM launched the second-generation Enclave, which included the introduction of the Avenir trim level that now comes standard in the 2020 model. If you are in search of a stately semi-premium three-row crossover with a more edgy style, then look no further. With the updates to the new 2020 Enclave, Buick might have the perfect car for you.

Aside from quality, driving dynamics, and distinct styling that buyers look for from a premium crossover, luxury is also among the top of the list. The updates for the 2020 Enclave are sure to provide you with all four elements, making the car the epitome of luxury. The 2020 Enclave is still fitted with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces an adequate 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque.
This is coupled to a standard nine-speed automatic transmission. Though the car comes standard with front-wheel drive, you can still get the all-wheel drive option. The Enclave’s EPA ratings are 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for front-wheel models. For the all-wheel drive option, its EPA rating are slightly lower at 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
While this is far from bad, it’s the new standard updates that have caused quite a stir.
What’s new for the 2020 model’s exterior?
Unlike the previous versions, the 2020 model finishes the lower panels at the sides, front, and rear with body color. This change adds visual width to the vehicle’s front. The flanks include painted panels just below the doors that visually connect the car’s front and rear, while the newly-painted lower insert at the back is similar to the sides and front end.
On top of the new body pieces, the 2020 Enclave offers the new Garnet Metallic color for its exterior. Other exterior color options include Dark Moon Blue, Avenir-exclusive Rich Garnet, and Champagne Gold Metallic. These updates have now made Buick’s family hauler a surprisingly desirable car.
What changes did Buick make inside the 2020 Enclave?
The 2020 Enclave now comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen along with the greatest and latest infotainment system from Buick, which includes available onboard navigation. The infotainment system is inspired by the updated CUE system available in other vehicles made by GM.
The new Enclave has a high-definition rearview camera that enables the rear-view mirror to switch and show the wide-angle camera feed. A surround-view feature is also available.
Buick added new seats that come with a four-way power lumbar adjustment with a massage function in the front seats — standard in the Premium and Avenir trims. This sets the Enclave apart from the lesser three-row GM crossovers such as the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia.
Another exciting change for the Buick 2020 Enclave is the introduction of the Sport Touring add-on. This is an appearance package that is available for the Essence trim. It comes with an aggressive sport grille that includes body-color surround. The package also includes 20-inch machined alloy wheels with inserts of contrast Satin Graphite. The Sport Touring package helps the Enclave ditch its previous reputation for attracting pensioners.
The 2020 Buick Enclave is set to arrive at dealerships this summer and is expected to have a starting retail price of $41,195 for the base trim. The Enclave Avenir, on the other hand, will start at $53,800, which might be worth it to some for those standard massaging seats.
