Buy The “Slash” Corvette And Become A People Magnet
With some of the most severe styling, we’ve seen this is the “Slash.” It started out as a C6 Corvette but you can barely tell anymore. This is the work of Mike Vetter who makes one-off cars for Hollywood movies. If you’ve seen Suicide Squad you’ve seen his work before. The Joker’s purple car is some of Vetter’s work. If you like the Slash and have a cool $89,000 then Slash could be yours as it’s up on eBay right now.
This is a fairly stock C6 Corvette under the extreme body
Things were left pretty much C6 stock under the crazy bodywork. The 6.2-liter LS3 cranks out 450 hp and is hooked to an automatic transmission with paddle shift. The brakes have been upgraded while the suspension now has adjustable coilovers front and back. The side exhaust is hooked up to the engine and works.
Vetter has done a fantastic job of not only tying together the separate elements of his design but he’s also hidden its origins. Other than possibly the profile you just don’t see anything that looks remotely like a Corvette. Especially the trapezoidal wheel openings and the severe slash character line running from the front into the doors are both almost impossible to tie into a cohesive design. Vetter has pulled off the almost impossible.
He’s asked all of the time if this is the next Batmobile
He says he was trying to create a “street rod” look at the front and something more exotic at the rear. It creates a ton of attention and Vetter says he is asked if this is the next Batmobile a lot. In other words, it is a people magnet. In the description, he says, “An expansive accumulation of knowledge has been invested into the vehicle derived from building over 200 custom vehicles over the past 25 years.”
While this looks like it could have been in a recent movie it hasn’t. It has been featured in ABC’s Right This Minute as a Hot Wheels contender. “I work very hard to manufacture my vehicles with the utmost attention to detail,” continues Vetter. “This is a car to be proud of and have a lot of fun driving.”
Even the power windows “move fast”
Other features mentioned are the power windows “that move fast like the car,” push-button start, front and rear cameras with dual monitors, and reverse gullwing doors “that work flawlessly.” The 20-inch wheels are staggered. The Slash is licensed as a 2020 custom-built vehicle or ASPT. In Florida parlance where it is registered, this is what an “assembled from parts” vehicle is called. It is not considered a salvage title.
And just think; all of this can be yours for the relatively small sum of just under $90-grand. It is even listed as having a 12-month warranty. How can you go wrong with a warranty? There is only a single day left for the vehicle on eBay.
If you love attention and want to drive a car that is unique in the extreme you should step up.
