The 2018 Jeep Wrangler came out with a few significant updates that are still being used with the newer models today. It’s one of the more modern updates with more power, capability, and comfort compared to older Jeep Wranglers.
If you go with a 2017 Jeep Wrangler, you’ll be missing out. Depending on your area and which used Jeep Wrangler models are available, you should be able to find a 2018 model between $23k to $40k. The top of the line Rubicon trim is often the most expensive option.

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler currently ranges in price from around $30k to $50k, so you’ll get significant savings with the 2018 four-door and two-door models. Used 2018 Jeep Wranglers should also have low mileage.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is wider, longer, and more convenient. The windshield is easier to fold down, the doors are easier to remove, and the off-roading equipment received an update. Also, the 2018 Wrangler got a new interior and new engine options.
In the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, you’ll find a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that pumps out 286 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. You can also upgrade to the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine for 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It can tow between 2,000 to 3,500 lb.
For off-roading the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon got new Dana 44 solid axles, electronically locking rear differentials in the front and rear, a new, more capable 4X4 system that includes a low 4:1 gear, rocker protection, two-piece fender flares, and 17” alloy wheel shods with all-terrain tires.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is praised for having a more comfortable ride around town. It was updated to be better for off-roading as well as a better daily driver.

There are up to 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space in the four-door model behind the second row in the four-door model. Once you fold the seats flat, you can access up to 72.4 cubic feet of cargo space. This eliminates the cramped issues with the two-door model.
