Usually the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word Lamborghini is speed, as the company is known for producing Italian supercars. However, long before its first luxury sports car rolled off the production line, Lamborghini was manufacturing tractors. The Italian agricultural machinery manufacturer known as Lamborghini Trattori still produces tractors today, which means you can buy your own Lamborghini tractor. In fact, you can even get your hands on the wheel of a Lamborghini tractor for under $100,000.
A brief history of Lamborghini Trattori
Before looking at the pricing of modern Lamborghini tractors, let’s look back at where Lamborghini Trattori all began. In 1948, Ferruccio Lamborghini founded Lamborghini Trattori in Cento, Italy. The company started from humble beginnings, manufacturing its first tractors with discarded war materials and sourced military engines.
According to Motor1, Lamborghini Trattori introduced the L33 in 1951. It was the first tractor made entirely by Lamborghini, aside from the Morris 3.5-liter inline-six engine, which powered the tractor. In 1952, a variety of new models were introduced into the Lamborghini lineup as Italy passed a law that incentivized farmers to buy Italian-made agricultural equipment. Some of the most popular models from the 1950s were the DL 30, DL 25 C, and the Lamborghinetta.
While Ferruccio Lamborghini’s tractor business has remained successful over the last 75 years, he is best remembered for founding his luxury sports car company Automobili Lamborghini in 1963. Lamborghini founded his automobile company with the goal of producing grand touring cars to compete with the likes of Ferrari.
Price points of the 2023 Lamborghini Trattori
Since 2000, Lamborghini has introduced three new series. The RF Series was released in 2007, and the CF Series was released in 2010. Lamborghini Trattori’s most recent model is the Nitro Series, first introduced in 2013. With this model came the introduction of quad projector-type headlights, a taller cab, and a sharper nose. This new model won the 2014 Golden Tractor for Design award and is still being produced today.
According to Tractors Info, the 2023 base model known as the Lamborghini Nitro 100 Tractor has an MSRP of $94,600. Additionally, the Nitro 110 and the Nitro 120, which feature higher horsepower, also start at $94,600. The Nitro Series tractors that feature the VRT transmission all have a starting MSRP of $146,000.
There are no Lamborghini Trattori dealers in the U.S.
While it’s certainly possible to get a 2023 Lamborghini tractor for under $100,000, it’s important to note that there are no Lamborghini Trattori dealerships in the United States. So, if you want to add a Lamborghini tractor to your collection, you will need to factor in shipping costs from a Lamborghini Trattori dealership in Europe as well.
If you aren’t after a 2023 Lambo tractor, you may be able to find a vintage model for sale in States. According to the website Classic, 65 vintage Lamborghini tractors have recently changed hands through the auction market, with the lowest selling for $4,385 and the highest selling for $93,500. This 1965 Lamborghini 3C TL Tractor recently sold on Classic for $51,700 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
While importing a Lambo tractor to the U.S. for agricultural work may be impractical, especially with the likes of John Deere, Case IH, and Massey Ferguson readily available, it’s certainly possible to get a 2023 Lamborghini tractor to the States if that’s what you’re after.
