No matter your lifestyle, there’s a truck for everyone. If you want a car with luxury features, the Ford F-150 Limited and Nissan Platinum Reserve have some of the best interiors. For off-roading, the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and Ford Raptor have safety and performance features for every terrain.

There are many good trucks on the market, but which one is the best for towing? Here are the cars you should consider for heavy jobs, according to CarFax.

Ford F-150

With six different engines to choose from, the F-150 has the highest towing capacity of any full-size truck. The most powerful one is the 3.5-liter turbocharged V8 capable of 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.

For trailers, it has dynamic hitch assist and blind-spot monitoring. The interior is just as spacious as its truck bed, but the base model doesn’t have many upscale interior features.

Chevy Colorado

On the road, the Chevrolet Colorado has the grace and agility of a small car while being able to haul and tow more than any other midsize truck. It can carry up to 1,581 pounds in its truck bed and has a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds when fully equipped.

While these are impressive numbers, the truck’s interior storage is sparse and the cabin is too cramped for taller drivers.

Chevy Silverado 3500HD

This heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado is the best of both worlds in terms of power and technology. The truck comes outfitted with the ProGrade camera system, which gives you 15 camera angles for maximum visibility, including one that makes your trailer transparent.

The Silverado also has the highest towing capacity of any heavy-duty truck on the market, with a maximum capacity of 35,000 pounds. There’s a lot of interior storage space inside as well, but some note that the seats are too hard compared to some of the truck’s rivals.

Ram 1500

The full-size Ram pickup can’t tow as much as the F-150, but it still boasts a maximum capacity of 12,750 pounds with the right configurations. You’ll want to get a Crew Cab with the Hemi V8 engine for the most power. Each engine comes with the eTorque mild hybrid system, meaning you get all of the engine strength plus improved fuel economy ratings.

The Ram also has a better suspension than many of its rivals, giving drivers a smoother ride even while towing large cargo. However, the base model doesn’t have as many safety features as some competitors.

Jeep Gladiator

Inspired by the Wrangler SUV, this new model doubles as both a workhorse and off-roader. It has the lowest towing capacity on this list at 7,650 pounds but accomplishes this with a standard gasoline-powered engine.

The 285-hp V6 is the only engine option on the Gladiator, and it can get sluggish while towing large loads. Despite this, you won’t have to worry about riding with a trailer on rocky terrain thanks to the Rubicon trim’s extra off-roading features and the available towing packages.

Ford F-450

When fully loaded, the F-450 can tow up to 24,200 pounds, and Ford has teased that the 2020 model will have even better specs. Under the hood, this truck has a 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine that can produce 450 hp and 975 lb-ft of torque. It also has a lot of safety features for both the passengers and trailers. Its only downside is that it’s a little pricier than the competition.
