With a starting price of $27,975, the LE is the cheapest trim for the new 2023 Toyota RAV4. The next most affordable one is the XLE ($29,485 MSRP).

As you can see, the new RAV4 offers many trim choices. Also, there are hybrid versions for some of the trims, as well as plug-in hybrid variants with the Prime. Additionally, the compact SUV offers off-road models with the Woodland Edition, TRD Off-Road, and Adventure grades. However, the most affordable one in the trim lineup for 2023 is the LE.

When factoring in its many standard features with the low price, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 LE trim offers excellent value. For the exterior, this includes intermittent windshield wipers, a chrome exhaust, power-folding side-view mirrors, LED lighting, and a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna. 

Also, standard features in the interior of the affordable LE trim include a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, a climate control system with a pollen and dust filter, USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, and remote keyless entry. Additionally, for multimedia technologies, there’s an infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

Furthermore, the RAV4 LE trim offers a decent amount of interior space. It can seat up to five people — with a total passenger volume of 98.9 cu-ft. And for legroom, there are 41.0 inches for the front seats and 37.8 inches for the rear. The LE also offers plenty of space for cargo. It has a rear storage capacity of 37.6 cu-ft — and 69.8 cu-ft in total.

On the performance front, the 2023 RAV4 LE comes equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, it generates 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Also, for the drive system, buyers of the LE trim have a choice of either front-wheel drive or a traction-enhancing all-wheel drive system.

Additionally, the affordable compact SUV comes standard with many safety-enhancing driving assistance features. This includes trailer sway control, road sign assist, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, a pre-collision system, and pedestrian detection. Plus, there’s the optional rear-cross traffic alert and a blind-spot monitoring system.
