The Cheapest Cadillac Sedan in 2023 Is an American Luxury Bargain
We’re suckers for good sports sedans due to their practicality and inherent fun-to-drive nature. However, it’s hard to find a good sports sedan on the market unless you want to go with one from Germany. If not, Cadillac is basically the only American manufacturer offering an entry-level sports sedan, and it sure is a bargain.
Cadillac’s cheapest sedan is also very tech-savvy
Luxury buyers looking to spend less than $40,000 can find plenty to like about the 2023 Cadillac CT5. As the American brand’s smallest sedan, the CT5 comes well-equipped with luxurious amenities like LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, remote start, simulated leather upholstery, and rear parking sensors.
The CT5 also has plenty of tech features on deck, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a nine-speaker sound system, and a wireless charging dock. It’s also very safe as it comes standard with features like:
- Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking
- Blind-spot monitoring with a rear-cross traffic alert
- Auto high beams
- Lane-keeping assist
- Safety alert seat
Overall, the base Cadillac CT5 is a bargain compared to its German competitors, given its feature set. There’s even a 235 hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine under the hood. However, more luxurious options can be unlocked by stepping up to the higher trim levels.
Opting for the higher trim levels brings more performance and tech at great value
Those aforementioned features are available on the base Cadillac CT5 Luxury trim level. However, if you opt for the higher Premium Luxury and Sport models, you’ll have the option for more power and technology.
The CT5 Premium Luxury model starts at $44,090 and comes with a power-adjustable steering column, perforated leather seating, adaptive cruise control, and reverse automatic braking. The Sport model adds 19-inch wheels and simulated leather upholstery.
Other options like heated front seats/steering wheel, navigation, a dual-pane sunroof, and a Bose 15-speaker sound system can also be added. But the best option of them all, in our opinion, is the Super Cruise package that offers partially self-driving technologies.
How much does a fully loaded Cadillac CT5 cost?
Even with most of the option boxes checked, a fully loaded Cadillac CT5 comes out to around $55,000, which is cheaper than most of the competitors from the German brands. A Mercedes-Benz C-Class can easily reach the $60,000 mark with all of its options checked, which is the same story for the 2023 BMW 3 Series.
Case in point, if you’re looking for a luxury sport sedan that offers a lot for the money, the 2023 Cadillac CT5 can make it happen. If you want more power, you can always spend more for the Blackwing version as well.
