2024 Chevy Trax impresses with its stylish new design
The redesign for the 2024 Chevy Trax is a remarkable turnaround. The Trax was one of the lowest-rated subcompact SUVs, and sales were very low. As a result, Chevrolet originally planned on discontinuing it — and the American automaker didn’t produce a 2023 model.
However, Chevrolet changed its plans. The big bowtie decided to bring back the affordable SUV — and give it a stylish new design. Compared to the outgoing model, the redesigned Trax has more muscular and athletic styling. It’s also longer, wider, and lower to the ground. Plus, this new design was inspired by the Chevy Blazer midsize SUV.
Other new design elements include high-eye LED daytime running lights and a horizontal line pattern for the grille. Additionally, the cabin is more modern, along with a higher level of refinement.
Redesigned Trax: Larger, roomier, and offers new features
With its increased width and length, the 2024 Trax is larger than the previous-generation model. This results in a more spacious interior. There’s more room for both people and cargo.
For total passenger space, the 2024 Trax has 99.8 cu-ft, compared to 92.8 cu-ft for the 2022 version. Also, there’s an additional three inches of rear legroom (38.7 inches), which is more than most subcompact SUVs.
And for cargo space, the 2024 Trax has a rear storage volume of 25.6 cu-ft — and 54.1 cu-ft in total. In comparison, the previous-generation model has 18.7/48.4 cu-ft.
Furthermore, there is a range of new features and upgrades in the affordable American SUV. This includes heated front seats, a sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an automatic climate control system, push-button start, a wireless charger, and active noise cancellation. Also, the touchscreens for the infotainment system are bigger. Additionally, safety is enhanced with new driving assistance features.
There are many American SUVs available. However, in terms of affordability, the 2024 Chevy Trax is the best choice. It’s the cheapest new American SUV — and is better in multiple ways with its new design.
