The Ford F-150 is America’s favorite work truck. But many truck lovers want their F-150s ready to work on weekdays and dressed to impress on weekends. These 2022 mid-range F-150 trim levels boast technology and luxury features to make them exceptional daily drivers. From the capable Tremor to the timeless King Ranch to the opulent Platinum, Ford makes a mid-range F-150 for everyone.

2022 Ford F-150 Tremor ($50,735)

The legendary Ford F-150 Raptor’s base price is now over $65k. That’s a lot of green for many off-road enthusiasts. And what fun is a trail-ready 4×4 if it’s too expensive to flog on the trail? Ford’s solution is the mid-level F-150 tremor. This very unique F-150 trim is one of the best deals of 2022.

The 2022 F-150 Tremor may not have the Raptor’s long-travel desert-racing suspension. But it’s plenty tough enough for towing or tackling the local trail. Under the Tremor’s hood is a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6–the same displacement as the Raptor. It makes 400 horsepower and can tow 10,900 pounds.

The F-150 Tremor rides on 33-inch all-terrain tires. It also has a standard locking rear differential, skid plates, tow hooks, and dual exhaust. Ford’s lifted suspension upgrades include unique Tremor control arms, front knuckles, and tuned monotube shock absorbers.

Finally, the F-150 Tremor offers Raptor-like visual upgrades, both inside and out. The interior centers around a unique console and column shifter. It also features trademark black sport cloth with orange stitching and highlights. Outside, the Tremor’s tow hooks, grille, and unique badges echo this orange highlight color. Even the running boards feature the Tremor logo.

Ford F-150 buyers seeking a refined and timeless truck will be drawn to the 2022 King Ranch. This truck offers top-trim performance and features paired with a vintage look.

The F-150 King Ranch comes as a four-door with Ford’s 5.0-liter V8. The 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid bumps the horsepower from 400 to 430.

Inside, the King Ranch offers heated/ventilated leather bucket seats in a “Java” dark brown. Its distinctive interior includes a center console made out of Del Rio leather with wood trim and Kingsville stitching. The cabin also comes with a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system and wireless charging.

Outside, the King Ranch wears two-tone paint with subtle grille accents. Its rims are 18-inch machined aluminum units with a King Ranch badge.

While the F-150 Platinum shares much of its features with the King Ranch, its style is entirely unique. For 2022, the F-150 Platinum boasts a slick, modern appearance.

This fancy truck has eye-catching 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. With chrome accents on the running boards, window sills, badging, mirrors, and grille it is unmistakable. You can also opt for the “blackout” package for a more undercover look.

The Platinum’s interior is resplendent with brushed aluminum and gunmetal accents. You can order your F-150 Platinum with either black or “carmelo” leather.
