The Chevy Silverado heavy-duty truck is ugly. We hate to say it, but fans and critics agree. The new design isn’t nice to look at. The headlights are too small and are positioned way too high on the massive grille. It looks like the truck is squinting or has tiny eyes. It also reminds us of when an older man wears his belt and pants up way too high.
Good thing the grille has Chevrolet written across it, otherwise it might be hard to recognize. Upon showing the images to a hardcore Chevy fan named Jim, with a 2017 Z71 and 2004 Chevy Tahoe with close to 350k miles, he said it looked OK.

Here’s the problem with just looking ‘OK’, it doesn’t sell trucks. This point was argued until I pulled up photos of the fresh-looking Ram 1500, which made Jim almost start drooling. He forgot his loyalty to Chevy trucks almost instantly. When you buy a big truck, you want it to look as good as it makes you feel.
We wish the ugly in the Chevy Silverado HD was only skin deep, but the interior isn’t pleasing drivers as well. It seems like an outdated car interior with too much plastic and large chunky buttons. The seats are pretty big and dull-looking as well. This redesign just happened recently, so it might stick around for a while. Is the Chevy Silverado Heavy Duty worth buying despite its looks?

However, you have to get past its looks first. However, you can also save by getting a 2019 Chevy Silverado HD truck to avoid the ugly redesign. That is if the way a truck looks matters to you.
