Is the Chevy Silverado a good truck?

The 2021 Chevy Silverado may be a stronger alternative to the 2021 Toyota Tundra but is it actually a good truck? According to Car and Driver, the Silverado isn’t quite as popular as some of its competition. It’s certainly less refined than the Ford F-150 and the Ram 1500, Car and Driver reports.

It does, however, offer plenty of features. Car and Driver highlighted specific features such as the Silverado’s many trailer assist technologies. It also lauded the Silverado for offering handy features like an available multi-function tailgate and a digital rearview mirror that provides the driver with an unobstructed view of what’s behind the truck.

Is the Chevy Silverado reliable?

On top of being a stronger alternative to the Toyota Tundra, the 2021 Chevy Silverado is also a fairly reliable pickup truck. While Consumer Reports did give it a one out of five predicted reliability rating, J.D. Power gave it a ‘Great’ overall quality and reliability rating.

According to Repair Pal, the Chevy Silverado’s average annual repair cost is approximately $714 too. Overall, that means it has average ownership costs. Repair Pal added that While repairs tend to be more severe, they happen so infrequently that major repairs are fairly uncommon.
