When it comes to automotive auction websites, it’s never really shocking to see insanely high prices. Throughout Bring A Trailer’s history, there are plenty of auctions that have seen insane numbers surpassing six and even seven-digit sums. However, not all auction sites carry the same caliber cars as others. This formerly celebrity-owned Lamborghini Aventador sold for a fairly reasonable price.

This blue Lamborghini Aventador currently holds the record

Recently sold on Cars and Bids, this beautiful blue Lamborghini Aventador currently holds the record for the most expensive car sold on Cars and Bids. Its final hammer price was $270,000. It is worth noting that two other auctions received higher bids than this one. However, neither one of those auctions met their reserve, so they either did not sell or were sold after the auction ended.

This 2012 Lamborghini Aventador started life as a standard grey car. However, it now wears a much more noticeable coating of Miami Blue. According to the paragraph at the top of the page written by Cars and Bids founder Doug DeMuro, it is indeed paint and not a wrap. That’s an expensive job!

However, the price of the paint job becomes a wash when you find out the original owner is reportedly Chris Brown. According to TMZ, this is indeed Brown’s former vehicle, and he was the one that had the custom paint job done. Honestly, the color suits the flamboyance of the Aventador quite nicely. It’s always interesting to see what celebrities do with their supercars.

The paint isn’t the only modification. The listing states that it has modified suspension components but does not explicitly detail what they are. Additionally, the vehicle has paint protection film to help preserve its Miami Blue paint.

Overall, $270,000 is a decent deal, considering TMZ reports that the second owner paid Chris Brown $300,000 for the car.

This Lamborghini is for sale again, too

It seems the buyer of this Lamborghini must have been somehow associated with Austin Direct Auto Sales in Austin, Texas, because that dealer is now selling this car.

It’s got a pretty substantial markup from the auction price, too, with the Austin dealer asking $349,900. If you’re looking to buy an Aventador, this is a good chance. You’ve got some leverage in knowing what they paid for it.

Obviously, an Aventador isn’t a car you lay low in. So, it only makes sense to paint it a loud and easily spotted color! Not that you really need to draw attention to it. The screaming V12 behind the seats making a whopping 691 horsepower should do plenty of attention-grabbing on its own.

As mentioned before, this isn’t the highest bid car in Cars and Bids history. It is, however, the most expensive car that has ever actually been sold on the platform. Interestingly enough, the highest bid car in Cars and Bids history is a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ was bid to $557,000. Additionally, a Countach was bid to $390,000, and a Huracan EVO was bid to $281,500.

Now, we just wait for the next record holder to come out of the woodwork! For now, keep scrolling to read about the cheapest car ever sold on Cars and Bids!
