Don’t drink and drive! This is a lesson that Justin Timberlake learned the hard way in his BMW after making several mistakes that gained the attention of police officers. Even if he wasn’t driving under the influence, these traffic mistakes could have been considered reckless.

Justin Timberlake was pulled over after making driving mistakes

When you drink and drive (which you should never do) it becomes harder to follow proper traffic rules and driver mistakes can alert the cops to your intoxicated condition.

Justin Timberlake was pulled over in a grey BMW that is registered in Florida after cops couldn’t ignore the dangerous manner in which he was driving.

He was stopped in the Hamptons near Madison Street and Middle Line Highway after driving through a stop sign. He was also driving in the middle of the road and had trouble staying on the right side of the road.

These mistakes are concerning and may cause a cop to pull you over even if you’re sober. It’s reckless behavior that puts your life and the lives of others in danger.

After cops noticed his slowed speech, glassy bloodshot eyes, slow speech, inability to pay attention, and the stench of alcohol, they asked to perform a chemical test.

Justin refused to take the test and that didn’t help his case. NBC News legal analyst, Danny Cevallo, explained that a refusal can be introduced at a trial to establish concious evidence of guilt. It’s the predicate for a revocation of driving privileges.

However, you can wait until you get to the police station to take a breathalyzer test in hopes of lowering your blood alcohol limit by the time you get there. Now we might not ever know what Justin’s was.

In New York, the refusal of a breathalyzer test can trigger a one-year license suspension and a fine of $500. But that issue will be settled in court on July 26.

Even without a blood chemical test, Justin Timberlake failed field sobriety tests. He struggled to walk heel-to-toe and stand on one foot without swaying or using his arms to balance.

He was arraigned and released about nine hours after the arrest without having to post bail. He claimed to only have one martini, but his driving mistakes and all of the other signs suggest he was too intoxicated to drive.
