When it comes to sports cars, it’s always hard to just pick one. Fortunately, Findandfundmycar.com narrowed down the list to five by using data from Wikipedia and Google search. Using their analytical software, the folks at Findandfundmycar presented the following results.

1. Ford Mustang

Considering the Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic cars on the planet, and also one of the best-selling, it’s hard to argue with the fact that it’s number one on the list. With a choice of engines that include a fuel-efficient and potent turbocharged four-cylinder in addition to a tried-and-true V8 engine, the Mustang offers all kinds of performance.

It’s gotten better over the years in the handling department as well. The latest iteration offers an independent suspension in all four corners and has a host of other dynamic handling features as well. The Ford Mustang is a perennial favorite in 29 different countries and tops the list with over 979,000 Google searches worldwide.

2. BMW i8

The BMW i8 had a relatively short run as it was only produced from 2014 to 2020. Many consumers were quick to point out that while the i8 was powerful and had striking looks, there were plenty of more supercar-like rivals available for the same amount of money.

Under the hood of the i8 was a hybrid powertrain that featured a small 1.5-liter engine attached to electric motors for a combined output of 369 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. It might not have been the most powerful supercar, but the BMW i8 was quite the looker and fantastic car in its own right.

3. Audi R8

You can’t have a list like this and not include the Audi R8. The R8 has always been heralded as a supercar that you can comfortably drive every day and that’s likely what puts it high on this list. With a silky-smooth V10 engine and enough handling prowess to tackle the toughest of turns, the R8 is easily a global favorite.

4. Dodge Challenger

Are you surprised that the Dodge Challenger is on this list? We are. But taking into consideration that the Challenger is a muscle-car classic with roots that stretch back to 1969, it’s easy to see why people across the globe still search for it. The latest iteration of the Challenger plays host to a number of go-fast goodies including a 700-hp engine. That’s definitely enough to earn it a spot among cars like the R8.

5. Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra has remained a cult classic with Japanese fans across the globe since its initial time in the market from the late 70s to the late 90s. However, it did make its return recently outfitted with BMW internals, but it’s still Supra nonetheless. Many Toyota die-hards turn their heads at the newest iteration, however, it’s hard to argue with a car that has 382 hp and provides daily driving comfort. Regardless of its current make-up, the Supra has garnered over 797,000 Google searches worldwide.
