How could a Ram 1500 TRX possibly get any more extreme? That’s exactly the question that the team at Apocalypse Manufacturing in Florida asked themselves before creating a custom Ram 1500 TRX 6×6. Yup, you read it right, 6×6. This team added an additional axle to take the 1500 TRX to a level we never thought possible. This pickup truck has even got the perfect name: Warlord.
What’s different about this custom Ram 1500 TRX?
First, let’s establish that the Ram 1500 TRX is an amazing truck without any modifications. The Apocalypse Manufacturing team took an already awesome TRX and made it the stuff of dreams…or nightmares if you stand in its way. This TRX looks like it came from Ram, but the folks at Apocalypse in Florida are 100% behind this unique mod.
This 6×6 Ram 1500 TRX affectionately dubbed the Warlord naturally has more traction than the average TRX. It also looks much more aggressive than the original. The aptly named truck is stock other than the crazy additional two wheels and axle. The TRX already includes a Hellcat engine, so there isn’t much even the most creative mechanics could do to the TRX that Apocalypse hasn’t done.
Instead of messing with what makes the TRX great, the team merely sharpened its claws by adding more wheels and gave it a killer new name. According to MotorTrend, the Warlord can be yours for $250,000. It’s hard to justify a quarter-million dollars for a TRX, but I won’t take any chances arguing with the Warlord, and neither should you.
The Ram 1500 TRX is a supertruck
Supercars may be common today, thanks to the efforts and large budgets of luxury automakers. Supertrucks, on the other hand, aren’t all that common. Trucks like the Ford F-150 are historic, but their specs don’t warrant the same excitement as supercars that reach ridiculous speeds. They may not be common, but there are supertrucks in the automotive industry when you consider some of the performance model trucks that are so drastically different from the norm.
The Shelby F-150, Ford F-150 Raptor, and the Ram 1500 TRX all should definitely qualify for supertruck status. The TRX makes 702 horsepower using its 6.2-liter V8 Hellcat engine. It is often compared to the Ford F-150 Raptor because of its power, but the TRX has a much stronger engine. The TRX has a towing capacity of over 8,000 pounds and is one of the most powerful trucks on the market.
The Ram 1500 TRX needs no modifications
The Ram 1500 TRX is already so spectacular that there are very few benefits to customizing it. What more could you possibly do to a Hellcat engine? The TRX is currently the fiercest pickup truck on the market.
