Disappointing 2021 Ford Bronco Features
Oh my gosh! The 2021 Ford Bronco is finally here, and it’s so great. Everyone wants one, right? Actually, no. This isn’t the case. There are a few disappointing features of the new Ford Bronco that could turn people away.

The 2021 Ford Bronco is finally back. While it was first introduced in 1966, it was discontinued for decades, because the interest in it wasn’t enough for Ford to redesign it to meet rising emission standards at the time.

But does it live up to the hype that was created as fans waited for months to see its debut? Some say yes, as preorders are already selling out, and others say no. Either way, it has some serious work to do to make up for the Jeep Wrangler’s 80-year heritage.
The Ford Bronco has limited engine options
Currently, the Ford Bronco offers two different engine options. There is the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that can pair with a 7-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. There is also the 2.7 turbocharged V6 engine with 310 horsepower that only pairs with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
So, where is the diesel engine option? The Jeep Wrangler offers a 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Diesel engines are great for more rock crawling power and a better fuel economy.

Also, the Ford Bronco is supposed to be a muscle SUV, so where is the V8 engine option? The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is getting a powerful V8 Hemi engine with 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque that will accelerate from 0 to 60 in under five seconds.
And what about the environment? The Ford Bronco doesn’t have a hybrid engine option. Meanwhile, the Mustang Mach-E has an electric engine, and there is a hybrid 2021 Ford F-150. It seems like there is no excuse not to offer a hybrid powertrain, especially when Jeep will have a hybrid option for each of their models by 2022.
The 2021 Ford Bronco has an independent front suspension
While being marketed as a heavy off-roader, the Ford Bronco is actually set up for driving on the pavement instead. It has an independent suspension in the front instead of a solid axle, limiting what the suspension can do.
On a positive note, the independent front suspension will provide more stability and comfort at higher speeds. This feature can bother Jeepers, even though the Jeep Wrangler has received significant improvements to reduce interior noise and vibrations.
The new Ford Bronco doesn’t look new
The Ford Bronco instantly reminds people of other vehicles. The two-door version looks like the Jeep Wrangler, and the Ford Bronco Sport looks like the Jeep Renegade and more. Some critics agree that the Ford Bronco looks like the child of the Toyota FJ Cruiser and four-door Jeep Wrangler.
Instead of providing its own unique features, it borrowed a lot from Jeep too. Jeep has been getting positive attention for their Easter eggs, and now the Ford Bronco has implemented Easter Eggs as well.
Also, the interior of the Ford Bronco Sport incorporates spunky pops of color, just like the Jeep Renegade’s interior. But you know what they say, imitation is the best form of flattery. So, you can either wait until next April for the preordered Broncos to arrive or enjoy a Jeep now.
