How much horsepower does the Dodge Challenger Demon 170 produce? 

The new 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 produces 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 6.2L V8 engine. That makes it the most potent Dodge car ever and the most powerful production muscle car in history. 

Moreover, the ballistic brute makes its 1,025 horsepower figure on E85. However, it’s no slouch on pump gas; Dodge says the 170 will produce 900 horsepower and 810 lb-ft of torque on 91-octane fuel. 

How fast is the new Dodge Demon? 

For the hilariously and heinously powerful Demon 170, ‘fast’ is an understatement. Dodge says the new underworld-dweller finished a quarter-mile drag in just 8.61 seconds on a fully-prepped surface with a trap speed of 151 mph.

The final Last Call Challenger produces its magical power figures by taking the supercharged 6.2L V8 recipe to the next level. First, the Dodge model drinks E85 to produce peak power instead of pump gasoline. Moreover, the new Demon’s 170-proof cocktail of choice is the source of its name. 

Inside the beast’s heart, Dodge equipped the 170 with all-new internals, save for a shared camshaft with the previous halo car. According to Car and Driver, the new Demon’s development was costly and frustrating; Tim Kuniskis told journalists that the automaker destroyed several engines, which led to the vehicle’s delay. 

However, after Mopar’s mad scientists finished, the new 170 had myriad new parts. For instance, the new Dodge model hordes air through a 3.0L supercharger harnessing 22 lbs of boost. 

Is the new Demon 170 more powerful than the original SRT Demon?

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon produced 808 horsepower on pump gasoline and 840 with high-octane fuel and the contents of its whimsical $1 crate. As a result, the new 170 makes upwards of 185 horsepower more than its predecessor.
