Lincoln remains Ford’s luxury brand and currently only makes SUVs. Although rumors swirled surrounding the discontinuation of the Aviator or Nautilus SUVs following the 2023 or 2024 model year, all four SUVs remain in the manufacturer’s lineup for the 2024 model year.

Fortunately for prospective owners of a new Lincoln SUV, the Nautilus, Corsair, Navigator, and outgoing Aviator all provide unique options.

What is the Lincoln midsize SUV?

In the midsize category, Lincoln offers the two-row Nautilus SUV. The base engine is a 250-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. However, the Reserve and Black Label trims are available with a 335-hp twin-turbo V6. The Nautilus Black Label is the only model with standard all-wheel drive, plus an adaptive suspension to enhance ride comfort. 

The Lincoln Nautilus has plenty of room for its passengers. Over 37 cubic feet of available storage space sits behind the rear seats. Backseat occupants can ride on heated outboard seats, while cabin occupants can access massaging functions. The fully loaded Black Label trim has genuine Venetian leather seating surfaces complemented by real wood inlays. 

You can also reserve a 2024 Lincoln Nautilus ahead of its release. Among the complete details, the redesigned model will feature standard AWD and an available hybridized engine with 310 hp on tap. Higher trims now have fancier comfort and stereo options, but every model gets a 48-inch diagnostic display behind the center touchscreen. 

Will the Lincoln Aviator be discontinued?

As for the other midsize SUV, Lincoln will continue to take orders for the 2024 Lincoln Aviator. Most models are powered by a 400-hp twin-turbo V6, while both Grand Touring trims pair that engine with a PHEV setup. The powertrain of these crossovers can have a combined 494 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque, providing 21 miles of all-electric range. 

The interior quality is on par with Lincoln’s smaller midsize SUV, but the Aviator also has a third row with 29 inches of legroom. Most passengers will probably prefer the second row, which has 40 inches of legroom. Cargo capacity starts at 18 cubic feet with all the seats up and expands to about 42 with the third row folded down.

The Aviator’s driver’s seat has 30 different adjustability levels and a 10.1-inch screen at the center of the cabin. That’s smaller than the 12.3-inch screen inside the Nautilus because of its updated SYNC 4 interface, though the Aviator’s SYNC 3 version is still renowned for user-friendliness. 

Is the Corsair a compact SUV?

The Lincoln Corsair is a two-row compact SUV featuring a standard 250-hp turbo-four engine.

Like the Aviator, the Corsair’s highest trims feature a PHEV setup that gives the engine extra horsepower. However, it’s the more efficient luxury SUV option with 28 miles of electric range. 

The Corsair’s cargo hold is smaller, with a minimum of 27 to 28 cubic feet of storage area. The rear seats are still comfortable, with 38 inches of legroom. While the center stack lost many physical controls, drivers will still enjoy a 13.2-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4 software. 

Are the Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition the same?

Both the Lincoln Navigator and the Ford Expedition are about the same size and are built on identical platforms. Each also features a 440-hp V6 and a massive cargo area.

However, the Navigator’s interior far surpasses the quality and interior features of the Expedition, especially if you’re looking at the $110,000-plus 2024 Lincoln Navigator Black Label L. Higher trims can be optioned with the semi-autonomous BlueCruise driving system (also known as ActiveGlide). The Navigator also has a big third row, especially inside the extended-wheelbase model.
