After spending a decade in retirement, the Trailblazer reappeared on the market in 2020. When Chevrolet brought the Chevy Trailblazer, back they decided they wanted it to be a decent, five-passenger vehicle that would suit the transportation needs of the average family. While the vehicle can handle some light trail driving, it really excels at city driving.

One of the great things about the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is that it has some cool luxury features, such as a panoramic sunroof and a budget-friendly price tag.

How does the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer handle?

The Chevy Trailblazer was designed to compete in the small SUV market. It’s frequently compared to the Nissan Rogue, Jeep Renegade, Honda HR-V, and Mazda CX-30. While the SUV appears small, once they slip inside, many drivers are surprised to find that the five-passenger vehicle is quite roomy, with plenty of space for a few passengers and assorted pieces of luggage. It’s a good choice for drivers who travel with pets, have children, or who spend a great deal of time traveling for business.

“The overall interior looks modern with beautiful colors and ambient lighting,” Car Indigo wrote in their review. “The use of proper ergonomics can be seen in the placement of functions. The Trailblazer uses a new digital console and a massive Infotainment system. The interior gets better on the top trims. The seats use premium cloth upholstery. The interior comes in Standard piano black color. You can also opt for sporty interior accents.”

The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer has highly responsive steering, making it a great choice for zipping through city traffic and maneuvering into tight parking spaces. On highways, the vehicle’s acceleration can feel a little sluggish. The biggest drawback to the compact SUV is that while the name, Trailblazer implies that it would be great for off-roading, the suspension and steering feel loose, making for a bouncy ride once the trails start getting rough.

Panoramic sunroofs and other awesome features

Most people don’t think often think about luxury features and the Chevy Trailblazer at the same time. That’s starting to change. Chevy did a great job of equipping the 2021 Trailblazer with an assortment of luxury features, including an available panoramic sunroof, that drivers are going to love.

In terms of luxury features, the panoramic sunroof is the most obvious. According to Chevrolet, additional fantastic features found in the 2021 Trailblazer include heated mirrors, speed-sensitive volume control, illuminated front door sill plates, a power liftgate, keyless entry, multiple USB ports, and remote start.

It’s important to note that the exact special features found in a 2021 Trailblazer will depend on the trim option you’re looking at. For example, Autobytel reports that the most affordable trim option that includes the panoramic sunroof is the Trailblazer LT.

Why you should consider a panoramic sunroof

A panoramic sunroof might seem like a luxury feature you can live without, but many drivers have found it’s one of their favorite features. Drivers who have fallen in love with panoramic sunroofs on their SUVs report that the innovative roof makes them feel less boxed in while they’re driving. Opening the sunroof allows them to air out the vehicle without having to turn on the actual air conditioning unit.

Some love how the panoramic roof provides them with the ability to check on kayaks, skis, and any luggage they’re transporting on the vehicle’s roof. Perhaps the biggest advantage of a panoramic sunroof is that it provides additional avenues of escape in the event of an accident.

Purchasing a Chevy Trailblazer

Consumer Reports has given the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer an overall score of 55 out of 100, but considering that this is a new vehicle without any recent versions to compare it to, that rating could easily improve during the next few months.

If you’re interested in a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, you have five different trim options to choose from. The cost ranges from $19,000 to 27,000.
