Updates for the 2020 Traverse include the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, which includes a more streamlined smartphone touchscreen interface and sharper graphics on the eight-inch screen.

Returning features include a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot with a connection for up to seven devices. SiriusXM with 360L lets you personalize up to 200 channels, including talk, ad-free music, news, and sports.

The Active Noise Cancellation feature provides a buffer between your inner space and outside noise, so your ride is as pleasant as possible. Connected access capability and a full-color screen make navigating the system a breeze.

An added convenience of the Infotainment 3 system is the Driver Confidence package, which includes heated front seats, universal home remote, remote start, power programmable liftgate, Lane Change, Side Blind Zone, and Rear Cross Traffic Alerts, and Rear Park Assist.

Additionally, cruise control takes the stress out of managing your speed on long stretches of road. When you want to see what’s going on around your vehicle, the available HD Surround Vision provides you with high-resolution viewing of all. It makes parking much easier because you’re able to see objects as you maneuver at slow speeds.

Choose the lighting and temperature that’s right for you. The Traverse’s standard interior humidity sensor monitors the interior’s temperature and humidity levels and automatically manages air flow based on your climate settings.

Likewise, you have the option of adjusting the lighting to meet your needs. From theater dimming to delayed entry lighting, you choose the way you want the interior illuminated.

The Traverse and safety technology

The keyless system offers ease of use as well as lockout protection. So, you lower your risk of locking your keys in the vehicle. The power locks are programmable, and they allow you to quickly lock or unlock the vehicle from either of the front doors or with the key fob. The rear doors feature child security locks.

Once inside, the Passenger Sensing System automatically switches the front-seat passenger airbag on or off depending as needed and illuminates a light accordingly.

An option available in an emergency is the remote panic alarm that also doubles as a vehicle locator. The vehicle’s theft-deterrent unauthorized entry system, alerts others than someone tries to gain access to your vehicle without the proper key.

Parents find the Teen Driver feature invaluable. It allows parents to customize parameters, such as zone restrictions and speed limit guidelines for the new drivers in the household.
