Does the Hyundai Tucson have Android Auto?

The Hyundai Tucson comes with plenty of connectivity options, including Android Auto. This feature gives Android users hands-free access to all of their favorite Google apps. You can connect your phone for hands-free calling, answer text messages, Google Maps navigation, and more via the seven-inch display in the SUV.

When compared to the actual mobile device, the UI for Android Auto is much simpler and more intuitive. To avoid the need to reach for the phone and select apps, Android Auto has a group of icon shortcuts at the bottom. And the home screen displays phone and weather notifications, along with navigation. Drivers can also easily switch screens to access calls, maps, and music.

As more and more places outlaw driving and using cell phones, Android Auto is a welcomed feature. No matter which trim package you choose, all six levels come equipped Android Auto ready to use — just go through the easy setup process and you’re connected.

The Hyundai Tucson is also available with Apple CarPlay, which is the Apple version of Android Auto. So, you’re covered no matter which you have. The base model has the standard 7-inch display, while the luxury models boast an 8-inch screen.

There are also driver-assistance and safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, backup cameras, and automatic emergency braking. All trim packages from the base and up comes with 100,000-mile powertrain warranty as well. 

Both the 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter engines sport a 6-speed automatic transmission. There’s the option to upgrade the cloth interior into sleeker, nicer leather. Even though the cargo space in the Tucson is on the smaller side, the ability to lay down the back seats increase the area quite a bit.

Some other luxury features include heated side-view mirrors, steering wheel, and seats; collision avoidance with pedestrian detection; USB ports and Qi wireless charging; a 3-year trial to Hyundai’s Blue Link telematics services; and much more.
