The Laredo trim now has the Active Safety Group suite of safety features like automated emergency braking, forward-collision warning, active lane-keeping, and automatic high-beams. That’s an advantage as it used to be only available with the Limited models and it cost more. There are also new interior color options for both Overland and Summit trim levels for greater variety.

Technology features

Jeep’s infotainment system is a good one. It’s called Uconnect and it’s easy to use, fast, and a step above some infotainment systems offered by other automakers. The standard display is a tiny 5.0-inch screen. An upgrade to the available 8.4-inch touchscreen might be worth it to you if you want a screen that’s easy to read. There are lots of ways to charge devices for both front and rear passengers.

There are available rear-seat options available. There’s also in-car Wi-Fi that allows you to stream video or music on the road to entertain kids and teens on long trips. You can keep everyone entertained.

There’s a six-speaker audio system that comes standard with Grand Cherokee. You can also upgrade to get SiriusXM satellite radio. There’s also an optional 19-speaker Harman/Kardon setup on the Overland trim level but it’s standard on the Summit models.
