When it comes to subcompact crossovers, the Jeep Renegade stands on its own, even though it doesn’t quite have the impressive features or fuel economy as some of its competitors. But, for those who want a smaller SUV that they can take off-roading, the Renegade fits the bill.

With some mediocre features, but decent styling, Fiat Chrysler created a vehicle that does what a Jeep should do, which is offer adventure. And it does it for an inexpensive price. A brief history of the Jeep Renegade

Fiat rolled out the Jeep Renegade in late 2014 with the 2015 model. Because Jeep was a well-known name in the automotive industry and was synonymous with adventure, sales immediately took off for this vehicle.

In the first year alone, they sold over 60,000 of these jeeps in the United States, which broke their sales record for the fourth consecutive year according to CalTrend.com. Jeep offers a few different trim levels to add some spice to your adventurous vehicle. The Sport model offers plenty for those considering a base package to save money. Then there’s the Latitude and Altitude trims that add mostly cosmetic and exterior features.

The Limited is more of a luxury type model offering leather seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The last model trim is the Trail hawk that gives you everything you need for a fun off-road ride.

Will you get Android Auto with the Jeep Renegade?

Nowadays, vehicles have to keep up with the technological times by giving consumers what they want in the cars and trucks they buy. One of the most popular features consumers have asked for in recent years has to do with the capability of connecting to some of their smartphone’s features.

Android Auto, as well as Apple CarPlay, enable drivers to access their phone through the vehicle’s infotainment system, so they can access the data stored on their phones, like music playlists, for example.

Add to that some more storage pockets and little cubby areas to hold your stuff, your Jeep feels more like a home away from home.
