Subaru is known for making great, reliable cars, and the Subaru Crosstrek isn’t an exception. On top of being reliable, the Crosstrek also has a lot of features. Here’s a look inside the Crosstrek at everything that Subaru offers in it. 

What comes standard on the Subaru Crosstrek

As U.S. News reported, the standard Crosstrek comes equipped with a 6.5-inch touch screen display. This touch screen is linked to Subaru’s own Starlink infotainment system, and Starlink gives the Crosstrek access to both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. 

Starlink is also linked to a standard four-speaker stereo system that can fill the Crosstrek up with the music of your choice. Additionally, the Crosstrek has Bluetooth compatibility as well as one USB port. Lastly, U.S. News says that the Crosstrek also has an automatic climate control system as standard. 

U.S. News says that the Crosstrek’s infotainment system was very user-friendly and easy to use. That was because it, like many other Subarus, has a lot of backup physical controls so you don’t have to rely on the touch screen all the time. Additionally, U.S. News says that the touch screen had crisp graphics and it was very smooth. That said, U.S. News also reports that some functions, like the Bluetooth system, isn’t the most reliable out there.

Optional features on the Subaru Crosstrek

As great as the standard infotainment system on the Crosstrek is, Subaru offers a lot of upgrades to it. The biggest upgrade is in the size of the touch screen. U.S. News says that Subaru offers an upgraded infotainment system on the Crosstrek that includes a much larger 8-inch touch screen display. Additionally, the Crosstrek can be outfitted with an optional navigational system.

Furthermore, Subaru offers two upgraded stereo systems, a six-speaker stereo system or a premium, eight-speaker stereo system. These upgraded sound systems can also be accompanied by an HD radio and a satellite radio. Subaru also offers other additional features, such as more USB ports and a WiFi hotspot on the Crosstrek. On top of that, for the CVT model specifically, U.S. News says that the Crosstrek can also have a moonroof. 

The Subaru Crosstrek’s smart safety and security features

Subaru is also well-known for taking safety seriously, and the Crosstrek lives up to that reputation. U.S. News reports that the Crosstrek can be equipped with a lot of smart safety features. Subaru says that the Crosstrek will come standard with a keyless entry system, an anti-theft security system, and an engine immobilizer. 

On top of that, the Crosstrek comes standard with a suite of modern safety features, such as Subaru’s airbag system, anti-lock brakes, and electronic stability control. Furthermore, Subaru offers Crosstrek owners a lot of options in terms of upgrading the safety of their SUV. 

U.S. News says that some of the smart safety features that Subaru offers on the Crosstrek include: adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, lane keep assist, a lane departure and sway warning system, lane change assist, a rear cross traffic alert system, automatic high-beam headlights, automatic emergency braking and reverse automatic emergency braking. 

These smart safety features are part of Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite, and the options will vary based on the Crosstrek trim that you choose. For example, Subaru says that on the Limited trim, all of those smart safety features are standard on the Crosstrek. 

Because of the great amount of smart safety features that Subaru offers on the Crosstrek, as well as the great performance that it had in its crash tests, the Crosstrek is a very safe SUV to own. U.S. News says that, when every single safety aspect is considered, the Crosstrek gets a 9.5 out of 10 for safety.
