The Honda Accord and Toyota Camry have been some of the most dependable sedans for decades. Better yet, both models grabbed top spots in iSeeCars’ lifespan study. That’s good news for fans of the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, as both cars have the potential to cruise right past the 200,000-mile mark. However, which car from the last 10 years will last longer?

How many miles can a Toyota Camry last?

A Toyota Camry could last between 200,000 and 300,000 miles with proper care and maintenance. In iSeeCars’ lifespan study, the Toyota Camry took the number four spot among the longest-lasting sedans and hatchbacks. However, an Executive Analyst at iSeeCars, Karl Brauer, said that “most of these cars are still in use and going strong.” 

Specifically, 1% of Toyota Camrys from 10 of the last 20 years have an average of 223,249 miles on their odometers. That puts the Camry around 15,000 miles ahead of a comparable Lexus GS 350. Moreover, the Camry Hybrid gets even higher figures, with a potential lifespan of about 230,547 miles. Of course, these potential lifespan metrics don’t represent the maximum distance these cars can travel; many Camrys have traveled well over 250,000 miles.  

How many miles will Honda Accord last?

The Honda Accord is comparable to the Toyota Camry in terms of lifespan. An Accord from 10 of the last 20 years has a potential lifespan of about 226,168 miles. Moreover, the Honda Accord should last between 200,000 and 300,000 miles or more with proper care and maintenance. 

However, the gap isn’t substantial; the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are within 2,900 miles of one another. As a result, the potential lifespan disparity between the two sedans is negligible. Still, with the number three spot on iSeeCars longevity list, the Accord is one of the longest-lasting sedans of the last 10 years. 

Which car brands last the longest?

Toyota dominated the longest-lasting cars list in every category. For instance, the Toyota Sequoia took the top spot among the longest-lasting vehicles of any type. The Sequoia, a large, conventional SUV, has a potential lifespan of about 296,509 miles. In addition to the Sequoia and Camry, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid tops the hybrid segment, and the Toyota Tundra is number one in the Trucks segment. 

Which car will last the longest?

The Toyota Avalon snagged the top spot in the cars segment with a potential lifespan of around 245,710 miles. While that means 1% of Avalons have nearly 250,000 miles on their odometers, that doesn’t mean the Toyota model can’t stretch to 300,000 miles or beyond. Unfortunately for fans of the Toyota sedan, the marque is discontinuing the Avalon by 2023. Still, the large Toyota Avalon outperforms the ubiquitous Camry in terms of longevity. 

Can a Toyota Camry last 500,000 miles?

A Toyota Camry will likely last 200,000 to 300,000 miles with routine maintenance, proper care, and mindful driving. However, only a few cars reach 500,000 miles in their lifespans. Of course, some Camrys have already crossed the 500,000-mile threshold and are still going. Moreover, given the lifespan similarities of the Camry and the Honda Accord, both cars are more than capable of lasting hundreds of thousands of miles.
