If Batman drives something, then it’s a cool vehicle, right? Under that logic, the Jeep Renegade is better than you think. While the Jeep Renegade is being discontinued and doesn’t have the best reputation, it had its five minutes of fame in ‘Batman vs. Superman’.
One Jeep Renegade was good enough for Batman
Bruce Wayne once took Gotham by storm in a tiny but mighty Jeep Renegade. At the beginning of “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” Ben Affleck or Batman uses a bat-worthy Renegade to escape fiery explosions.
The use of the Renegade wasn’t a decision made by the FCA (which is now Stellantis). A former chief marketing officer shared that the Renegade was so organic to the filmmaker’s storyline and vision that all it had to do was incorporate scenes from the movie for commercials.
This was back in 2016, when the Renegade was a brand new option and people bragged about its ability to keep up with the Jeep Wrangler on some trails.
But at this time the entry-level model started under $19,000. The 2023 Renegade starts with an MSRP of $27,850. I attribute the Renegade to being discontinued due to rapidly increasing prices.

The Renegade Dawn of Justice Edition is based on the 2016 Latitude trim and is available in an exclusive shade of Carbon Black or Granite Crystal.
It includes 18-inch gloss black wheels, a gloss black roof, and exterior features. The interior has black cloth upholstery, black gloss trim, and metallic accents. You can also find Batman-related easter eggs.
Plus, convenience features consist of remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power-adjustable front seat.
The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine cranks out 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Back in the day, this Batman Renegade started at $27,245. Used models are probably available at a cheaper price. This is a better way to remember the Renegade as the cuddly off-roader leaves America.
