We know that you don’t want to wait any longer to buy the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. If you like this truck, nothing else compares, even after seeing the new Ford Bronco. However, due to truck shortages, the Jeep Gladiator might have a high markup price.

Don’t overpay for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator

Due to the Coronavirus (COVD-19) outbreak, most automobile factories shut down to protect workers from getting sick. Also, some manufacturers started producing personal protective equipment to help keep healthcare workers safe.

Fiat Chrysler temporarily closed all factories in North America. Meaning, Jeep models weren’t being manufactured for a while. However, at the same time, a spike in pickup truck sales occurred, surpassing the sales of cars and SUVs for the first time.

With more demand and less supply, prices increase. Even I inquired about a new Jeep Gladiator Sport S but was told by the dealership that they didn’t know when production would resume.

2020 Jeep Gladiator cost

The MSRP for the Jeep Gladiator Sport, which is the base model, starts around $33k. The Sport S starts around $36k, and the Jeep Gladiator Overland starts around $40k. Also, the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, the beefiest off-roading trim, starts around 43k.

These figures are for the standard models before all the bells and whistles are added, but they still provide an excellent baseline of what to expect. Keep in mind that dealerships by these vehicles from Jeep then mark them up to make a profit.

Upon searching for the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, the first option to appear near me in Asheville, NC, is a Jeep Gladiator Sport S listed at $42,085. Then they list a $2k discount, offering the Jeep truck for $39,202. The optional equipment package is included, but the tow package is not, making this deal OK.

They also have a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon listed with a retail price of $51,910 and a discount of $2,254, for a final price of $49,656. That’s a lot more than the MSRP that starts around $43k. Also, it includes the tow package.

Another dealership lists a Jeep Gladiator Sport S for $41,300. That’s more than the MSRP of the Overland, and no special packages are listed with this e-price. They also priced a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon for $56k.

So, do your research to find the best price for the trim option you want. The Rubicon for $51k and the towing package is a way better deal than the option listed at $56k that doesn’t include many add-ons.

Which Jeep Gladiator trim is best?

According to the experts at Edmunds, the top two Jeep Gladiator trims include the Sport S and Rubicon. But if you go with the Jeep Gladiator Sport S, make sure it’s equipped with the towing package. This creates the best option for hauling.

They also mention that the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is your best option for off-roading, which is a no-brainer. It has more specialized off-roading equipment to tackle the trails. It’s like a Jeep Wrangler but with more storage space and functionality.
