They design and hand-built in the style of the 1950s and 1960’s British sports cars. These inspired bespoke sports cars evoke the design elements of Jaguar, MG, Aston Martin rolled into one smooth road and racing style car. They harness these designs to modern engineering & drivetrain technology. It is truly a work of love and dedication. Their website also says, “In addition, the company also carries out high-end classic car restorations and bespoke art and design work.”

On May 16th Ant took to Twitter with a call to action. He is looking for his successor. He starts in his video saying, “This is probably the weirdest social media video that I’ve ever done.”

Then goes on to explain that he is looking for someone specific. He says that he has “noticed the Corona quarantine has effected change in some people.” Some have been laid off, furloughed, or just have woken up ready for something new. Anstead goes on to explain that in 2005 he joined the classic car world full time starting Dowsetts Classic Car Company. 

In the last three years, Ant Anstead has moved to permanently to California and taken on a new role as the host for Discovery UK’s show Wheeler Dealers. Ant still owns Dowsett’s Classic Car Company, and he needs someone to take it over. He says, “I don’t care where you came from; I don’t care if you were a dog groomer or a plumber. It doesn’t matter. As long as you are passionate about the car sector, you want to effect a change, and take ownership of a business.” He goes on to say as long as you can bring all of that attention and love that he brought to the company in 2005. It would help if you also lived within a commutable distance from East Hertfordshire. That is where the company is located.
