Drake recently dropped a collaborative project with Atlanta rapper 21 Savage entitled Her Loss. The project has become controversial because the rappers staged appearances on major platforms and publications including a fake Vogue magazine cover. Vogue is currently suing Drake and 21 Savage.

On the track Broke Boys, Drake raps “Ferrari is makin’ an SUV, we ain’t got no choice, we orderin’ these.” Drake alludes to the Ferrari Purosangue’s inevitable desirability to the rich and famous.

So, the Purosangue has the specs to back up the hype.

The Porsche Cayenne’s first year of production was way back in 2002. The Cayenne was one of the first SUV models from a luxury automaker of Porsche’s caliber. Mercedes-Benz and BMW have produced performance SUVs for years, but the Cayenne is in a different league. The Bentley Bentayga came along in 2015. Maserati began production of the Levante SUV in 2016, raising the stakes and testing the waters for luxury performance SUVs.

In 2018 Lamborghini changed the game with the Urus. The Lamborghini Urus may not be the first luxury performance SUV, but it’s easily one of the most impactful models in its segment. It drastically changed the way that the industry looked at SUVs. Lamborghini recently introduced the Urus Performante, a track-ready model that boasts an incredible 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.

The Urus paved the way for models like the Ferrari Purosangue to rise. Will Ferrari’s SUV dethrone the Lamborghini Urus when it finally arrives?
