Few things in this world scream “luxury” quite like a Rolls-Royce does. One of those few things is this super-custom Cullinan recently made for Drake. Oh, shoot! Did I say luxury? I meant to say, Gaudy and obscenely expensive. Drake’s custom Rolls-Royce Cullinan is one of the ugliest ones ever made.

Drake’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan has an interior only a mother could love

Drake is no stranger to the hyper-lux world of Rolls-Royce. However, his new Cullinan looks like it was built for a 17-year-old who somehow got their hands on an obscene pile of cash. There is so much going on in the interior that the constellation roof liner is somehow overshadowed.

According to The Drive, Drake can’t shoulder all the blame for this hideous Rolls-Royce interior. The superstar rapper teamed up with the fashion brand Chrome Hearts to put together this cacophony of embossed leather and studs.

This Cullinan is more Poison than it is Poupon

Chrome Hearts got its name as a designer from the Hair Metal scene. Only recently, the leather and studs look from the 80s metal acts has bled over into the modern hip hop world. Drake cites his own childhood as to why he wanted to work with Chrome Hearts.

In an interview with GQ, Drake mentioned that he knew the brand from his high school years, going to see Motley Crue and Guns N Roses.

When he first reached out to Chrome Hearts about the collaboration, they thought it was a scam or someone pulling their leg. Once contact was made, Drake and Chrome hearts started designing one of the ugliest car interiors ever.

As described by The Drive, “Quilted within an inch of its life with a criss-cross pattern adjacent to stitched gothic crosses and fleur-de-lis, the leather blanketing the interior of the Cullinan is a one-of-a-kind wonder.” A wonder, indeed.

What seems to be nearly every square inch of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is covered in quilted leather patterns, designs, shapes, buttons, studs, and so on. There isn’t a smooth surface on this thing. It should come as no surprise that this collaboration took over a year to finish.

Rolls-Royce stepped up on this interior

Although the taste is very questionable, the quality is clear as day. Drake clearly was going hard for a specific aesthetic, but Rolls-Royce still has an obligation to its quality to craftsmanship as well as building safe and road-legal cars.

This means that even through all that textured leather-cladding, this Rolls-Royce Cullinan is still loaded with sensors, airbags, and everything else needed to make it safe and road legal.

Interestingly, there is a decent chance that Drake’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan may never even see the road. According to The Drive, this collaboration is one piece of the puzzle for the rollout of Certified Lover Boy, his fashion and accessories line.

As of now, Drake’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan will be parked inside Miami’s Institute of Contemporary Art Museum until May 15th.
