We get to spend a week of luxury with the Genesis GV70. This athletic and comfortable SUV is well-crafted and engaging. We’re pretty excited to discover each of its pros and cons. However, we have to wrap our minds around one confusing 2022 Genesis GV70 feature first. 

Does the 2022 Genesis GV70 have a nice interior? 

Yes, the 2022 Genesis GV70 delivers on a luxurious, elegant, and attractive interior. Convenience and comfort are clearly top priorities. It’s full of upscale materials that really stand out. 

However, the panoramic sunroof could be a potential drawback. It has a heavy tint on it. You can barely see through it. You can’t see the color of the sky or if clouds are building up. It doesn’t seem to let any natural light in. 

We’ve seen the electrochromic sunroof in the Toyota Venza, and adjusting the shade is pretty neat. But you can’t change the tint in the Genesis GV70. It’s almost as dark as the regular headliner. 

While were confused by this move, we also aren’t disappointed. The sunroof opens pretty wide to allow fresh air and light to fill the interior. 

Is the 2022 GV70 comfortable? 

The 2022 Genesis GV70 is extremely comfortable. The dark sunroof doesn’t limit the relaxing vibes that this SUV has to offer. Even the entry-level trim has simulated leather upholstery that’s soft and supportive. 

Moving up in trim levels provides access to heated and ventilated seats. The heated seats are nice and toast during cold mornings, and the ventilation is strong for instant relief during sweltering afternoons. 

The power-adjustable steering wheel and seats provide a wide range of different positions so you can find the ideal spot for driving or riding. Plus, the driver’s seat has memory settings, so you don’t have to constantly readjust the settings. 

You can opt for soft-covered surfaces such as faux leather on the door panels. Also, the upgraded ergonomic driver’s seat is energizing. It provides a refreshing amount of energy to focus on an athletic drive. 

Upgraded leather seating surfaces include a quilted sport design that pairs with a simulated suede headliner. 

The GV70 is easy to customize 

There are a lot of tech options in the 2022 Genesis GV70 that cater to your personal desires. The contrasting shades of leather upholstery include burgundy, matte green, black, tan, and blue. 

Edmunds agrees that pops of color added by two-tone materials, accent stitching, and chrome trim pieces attract the eye. Plus, the door panels have shades of silver with a red accent line. The Genesis GV70 stands out by emphasizing attention to detail. 

You can adjust the digital gauge cluster to display different specs, and the ambient lighting can be personalized. Plus, there are plenty of different driving modes to suit different moods.
