Over Half of Drivers Regret Buying This Popular Kia SUV
Potential regret alert! While each Kia SUV has made significant improvements over the past few years, one model has been disappointing its buyers. See why over half of the Kia Sorento Hybrid’s customers wouldn’t buy the same SUV again.
Which Kia SUV do people regret buying?
According to Torque News, the Kia SUV that disappoints drivers the most is the Kia Sorento Hybrid. This is a surprise because it seems to be wowing critics.
Roughly 58% of Sorento Hybrid owners said they wouldn’t buy it again. On the list of the top 10 vehicles people wouldn’t buy again, the Sorento Hybrid landed in second place.
The Nissan Sentra is in the top spot as 61% of drivers say they wouldn’t buy it again. On the other end of the spectrum, the Kia Telluride is doing well. About 82% of drivers would buy the Telluride again.
Also, the Chevrolet Corvette must make people happy because 93% of owners said they would buy it again.
But what’s wrong with the Sorento Hybrid? Critics suggest that the tight third row could be a drawback for families. It also doesn’t tow as much as the Telluride.
The Telluride can tow up to 5,500 lbs and the Sorento Hybrid can tow up to 2,000 lbs. But it has a convenient size, making it easier to maneuver in tight areas than the Telluride.
The Sorento Hybrid doesn’t have an official reliability ranking from J.D.power and only has one complaint on Car Complaints, so it doesn’t seem to have significant problems.
Also, it’s no slouch, the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine is paired with an electric motor to generate 227 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.9 seconds, which is confident.
The 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 39 mpg in the city and up to 35 mpg on the highway. People are simply upset that this Kia SUV has a small third row.
