According to a study by Compare the Market, used Jeep Wrangler models have the highest demand in the used vehicle market. More drivers search for a used Jeep Wrangler than any other model. 

Used Wrangler models had about 760,940 annual searches, while the Toyota Tacoma landed in second place with nearly 504,490 annual searches. Meanwhile, used Honda CR-V models came in 10th place with 261,640 searches. 

Reportedly, the Wrangler is popular because it’s one of the most iconic vehicles of modern times with unmatched four-wheel drive rugged capabilities and long-lasting durability. 

It’s attractive as a direct descendent from the World War II Jeep. While the Wrangler is the obvious off-roading choice, it’s a good daily driver in cities too. 

What’s considered high mileage for a used Jeep Wrangler? 

A Jeep Wrangler model with moderate care can last over 200,000 miles. With the proper care and regular maintenance, Wranglers can easily surpass 280,000 miles. There are plenty of used Jeep Wrangler models out there that have passed 400,000 miles too. 

Typically, a Wrangler won’t begin to have serious issues until about 280,000 miles. However, it’s not exactly the mileage that can make or break a used Wrangler. Rust, abuse, and the lack of regular care are bigger concerns than high mileage.

It has an average annual repair cost of $694, which is the average cost for yearly vehicle repairs. However, other subcompact SUVs only have a yearly repair cost of about $521. 

Jeep Wrangler repairs tend to be more severe than average, but the number of repairs necessary is low. Significant repairs are typically uncommon.
