Dubai’s Police services do more than keep the peace in the astronomically wealthy city; they showcase some attention-grabbing cars. You might think that American departments’ Dodge Chargers and occasional Chevy Corvette are a spectacle. However, wait until you check out some of the craziest Dubai Police cars. These white and green first responder vehicles are just a handful of the wild rides the UAE has fielded over the years, like the Lamborghini Aventador and Bugatti Veyron.
The Dubai Police Force chose the Lamborghini Aventador as an official vehicle
Why wouldn’t the Dubai Police Force commission the Lamborghini Aventador as an official vehicle? The 2013 coupe started at over $400,000 and packed a 700-horsepower 6.5L V12 mill. Of course, Dubai is one of the wealthiest cities in the world, so a Lamborghini isn’t out-of-the-norm. However, seeing an Aventador wearing an official Dubai Police car livery is a sight to behold for any visitor.
A Chevrolet Camaro served as a police car in Dubai, of all places
While a Chevrolet Camaro might not seem like it deserves a second look, you have to remember what this Camaro is doing and where it’s operating. Another seemingly silly 2013 selection, the Camaro SS produces 426 horsepower from its naturally aspirated LS3 V8. While that might not make the heavy muscle car as swift as a Lamborghini Aventador, it’s fast enough to hit 60 mph in around 4.3 seconds. Moreover, the Deputy Police Chief Major General of Dubai’s Police Force at the time billed the car as a move toward modernizing the organization’s fleet.
Ever seen an Aston Martin police vehicle?
Sure, you’ve seen James Bond drive the timeless British marque’s offerings over the years, but have you seen a police officer drive one in uniform? If you’ve been to Dubai, you might have. Specifically, the prosperous city commissioned an Aston Martin One-77 to wear its official green and white livery. In addition to the Dubai Police’s Lamborghini Aventador, the One-77 in official car colors debuted at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The Aston Martin One-77 packs a 700+ horsepower 7.3 V12, and the marque limited production to just 77. Even crazier, Edmunds says the Aston Martin with the police treatment had a $3 million price tag. Moreover, Dubai recently announced a newer Aston Martin Vantage is also joining the Dubai Police Force’s fleet of cars.

What tops a Lamborghini Aventador or an Aston Martin? A Bugatti Veyron is one of the few cars out there up to the task of upstaging nearly every other supercar and hypercar. The Dubai Police Force decided to go straight for the bragging rights with its Veyron commission. According to Car&Bike, the Veyron isn’t just ambitious, it’s record-breaking; the Guinness Book of World Records certified the Dubai police car as the fastest police car in the world.
It should be noted that these cars are more fun than function. Dubai’s over-the-top police cars are fantastic, flashy, and photo-ready. However, it’s unlikely that you’ll see a Lamborghini Aventador respond to a serious emergency. Still, it would be phenomenal to watch a Bugatti Veyron pursue another stratospherically expensive car.
