Here are some of the features drivers love about this Buick model.
The 2023 Encore GX is the highest-rated Buick SUV so far
According to Edmunds, the 2023 Encore GX is the highest-rated Buick SUV reviewed so far. The Encore GX gets a 7.9 overall rating, ranking at No. 4 in its category of extra-small SUVs.
Although there were no significant changes to the Encore GX from the previous model year, drivers did find quite a few perks that made this a top-rated drive. Although it is on the smaller side regarding SUVs, the Encore GX has plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The 2023 model year also has an infotainment system that is easy to use and active safety features that come standard.
Where drivers didn’t like the Encore GX was the amount of road noise that comes into the cabin, and thicker roof pillars are a problem with rear visibility. Also, regarding value, the Encore GX is higher priced, coming in closer in price to larger SUVs.
How the Encore GX stacks up
With several desirable features, the Encore GX is a contender against other extra-small SUVs. Some of the brand’s hallmark features are present in the Encore GX, including comfort, various tech features, and an interior made from premium materials that add to its stylish design.

Two other Buick models received similar scores to the Encore GX
The Encore GX isn’t the only Buick model for 2023 that is outperforming its competition. The 2023 Buick Enclave received a 7.8 overall rating from Edmunds and ranked No. 6 in the midsize 3-row SUV category. This model has various desirable features for drivers, including a quiet cabin, smooth handling, plenty of cargo space, and a variety of device charging solutions.
Similar to its 2022 model year, the 2023 Enclave rates high in comfort, technology, and storage. However, the overall value for the price and the Enclave’s fuel economy is rated lower than most of its competitors.
The other Buick model to receive a high rating for 2023 is the Buick Envision. The Envision ranked at No. 14 in small SUVs and received an overall rating of 7.4 from Edmunds. Although it doesn’t rank high against other compact SUV models, it has many features drivers are looking for in the category.
What the 2023 Envision has going for it is a quiet interior and smooth ride. It also has various premium features, such as wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Envision’s fuel economy ranks better than the Enclave and is similar to the Encore GX, with an average of 26 mpg combined. What drivers found lacking in the 2023 model year is the interior that feels less than premium and a cargo area smaller than average for an SUV of its class.
