The Elantra N Just Had Its Best Month Yet
Hyundai has been making waves over the past few years with its models. Developing its more recognizable models, Hyundai has proven this success with recent sales figures. Comparing January 2022 to January 2023, Hyundai has increased its sales for six of the 12 models in their current lineup. The most prominent of these sales increases is the Hyundai Elantra. Models like the Elantra N have brought a new light to the brand, and it shows.
2023 Hyundai Elantra N has record-breaking sales
In January 2023, the Hyundai Elantra N brought record-breaking sales for the company. As reported by Hyundai, their sales figures for the Elantra are up 70% over the same period last year. From 5,081 model sales in 2022 to 8,655 in 2023, the Elantra is quickly becoming a fan favorite. It is now the top-producing model for the company, with five other models yielding positive sales over last year as well.
Is the Elantra N fast?
With its recent uptick in sales, you may wonder what is so great about the Hyundai Elantra N. For starters, it is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 286 horsepower. In addition, the drivetrain package is good for a 5.1-second 0-60 mph time with a manual transmission. Not only does the Elantra have decent power, but Car and Driver also note its tenacious grip. A dynamic driving experience, the sporty Elantra can be a weekend warrior or a daily driver.
Can you daily drive an Elantra N?
The Hyundai Elantra N is a sedan that seats five passengers comfortably and has enough trunk space to carry some luggage. While its sporty accents and performance may add some doubt to its driveability, the sporty version can be civilized. Luckily the Elantra N only comes one way, fully loaded. So the already value-packed business model of the standard model carries over, with many optional features now on the N-line as standard. Unfortunately, you will have to make choices between manual or automatic and the color on the outside.
How much will the Hyundai Elantra N cost?
Thankfully, due to only a few choices for the trim, the cost of the 2023 Hyundai Elantra N won’t vary too much. The model starts at $34,015, and the only extra spend is $1,500 for the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. When you consider that the Elantra N’s biggest rival is the Honda Civic Type R, the value it provides is incredible. The Civic Type R starts at a whopping $44,390, making the Hyundai over $10,000 less. Keeping $10,000 in your pocket for track days, modifications, or even another car but having similar performance is hard to beat.
Is the Hyundai Elantra worth it?
Overall, the Hyundai Elantra N is quickly cementing itself as one of the best sports sedans of the new age. Using a great combination of a turbo four-cylinder, manual transmission, and seating for five passengers for a budget-friendly price makes the car so popular. It shows, of course, in the recent sales numbers from Hyundai. Hopefully, the trend will push the brand to release more updates for the popular Hyundai sedan.
