Donald Trump is all about getting back to burning oil with gas-powered cars, right? Wrong. Elon Musk has endorsed Trump and suddenly his opinions have been changing. He now supports electric vehicles because he ‘has no choice.’

What’s the best way to change someone’s mind about something? Do you provide more facts about it? Do you debate your case? Or do you bankroll their decision?

For Elon Musk, it’s easiest to bankroll people’s opinions to get them on his side. Donald Trump has been an easy target, who now supports electric vehicles

For the record, Elon Musk isn’t the founder of Tesla. But he is trying to save it from going bankrupt and the EV mandates would help increase his sales.

Donald Trump has shared that he has no choice but to support EVs because Elon Musk endorsed him. Musk committed $45 million a month to the American political action committee (PAC), which supports Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump

Earlier in the Year, Trump was poo-pooing EVs. He repeatedly said that they are too expensive and made in China. Trump even said that EV supporters should rot in hell and that assisting the nascent industry is lunacy.

He vowed to end federal support for electric cars. Now while continuing to diss EVs he’s telling crowds that they’re actually sort of cool.

Trump shared, “I’m constantly talking about electric vehicles, but I don’t mean I’m against them. I’m totally for them. I’ve given them and they are incredible, but not for everybody. Adin Ross gave Trump a Tesla Cybertruck model, which may sway his opinion even more.

According to Musk, a lot of Trump’s friends have Tesla models, and they love them. So, Trump now fits in with his Cybertruck.

Trump says anyone who wants to buy EVs should be able to, but the government shouldn’t shape the market.

The current environmental regulations have been forcing automakers to boost EV production. Also, Tesla is struggling against a massive sales decline.

How can Trump support EVs and his new bestie, Musk, if he goes against the regulations that would help Musk sell more cars? There are two ways to get people to drive EVs, and that’s with force or government spending.
