Eric Trump faces skepticism over $130 gas bill for SUV 

Eric Trump, son of former American President, Donald Trump went on a rant during an interview on Fox News about high gas prices. 

He seemed frustrated and shared he filled his SUV up for $130 and that people can’t afford life anymore. But people online don’t believe him because the numbers don’t add up. 

Drivers did face pain at the pump, especially with larger trucks and SUVs back in June 2022. This is when gas prices hit a record high with an average cost of $5.016 per gallon. 

Prices have been declining and the average cost per gallon was $3.222 as of September 20, 2024. People want to know what type of SUV he drives. 

One commenter shared that he filled his SUV up for $55 at Costco. Another shared that if he has a 20-gallon tank then he paid $6.50 per gallon.

Gas prices can vary based on the size of your fuel tank and location. Currently, he’s living in Florida where the average gallon of gas costs $3.125. 

Perhaps he filled his mystery SUV up in California, which typically has the highest fuel costs. The average price for a gallon of premium gas is currently $5.109 in Florida. 

If he filled up his Secret Service Chevrolet Suburban in California then he could get close to that figure. It has a 28-gallon tank, so at $5.109 in California, he would have paid $143.052 to fill up. So, the $130 gas bill is possible.
