The Canoo electric pickup truck has nothing to do with boats

Maybe you already figured that out, considering it’s Canoo and not ‘canoe,’ but this electric truck has nothing to do with water, which is good, because electricity and water have a historically bad relationship. According to Car and Driver, the Canoo electric truck can get up to 600 horsepower and 200 miles of range. While that’s less than some other electric pickups, you might find its smaller size alluring. The Canoo truck should start production in 2024.

The Chevy Silverado EV looks like an electric toy

The Chevy Silverado electric pickup truck looks like a truck, but also kind of like a shiny, sleek toy. It works, and the Silverado EV’s likeness to a typical pickup truck will likely help bolster its sales among those who are intrigued by the idea of an electric truck, but aren’t quite sure they want to drive an armored space car, like the Tesla Cybertruck. The Chevrolet Silverado EV should get 400 miles of range and the upgraded RST model will have up to 664 hp. The Silverado EV should be available in 2023.

The Ford F-150 Lightning is far from never-before-seen

The Ford F-150 Lightning is one of the most popular electric pickup trucks, and it isn’t even available yet. That hasn’t stopped Ford from accepting more orders than it can possibly make, like an airline overbooking its flights. The Ford Lightning will be able to get up to 300 miles of range, depending on which model you order, and has 563 hp. It will be available in the spring of 2022, but you may not get one, even if you placed a reservation.

The GMC Sierra EV will be an upscale version of the Silverado EV

The GMC Sierra EV will be out to prove that once again, it’s nicer than its Chevy sibling. The GMC Sierra EV will likely be pretty much the same as the Silverado EV, but with nicer trims and features. Car and Driver says they’ll both probably have a fixed glass roof, which will be incredible on sunny days.

The Tesla Cybertruck is delayed, but it’s coming

The Tesla Cybertruck doesn’t look like any other electric truck, except for the electric trucks that are starting to look like the Tesla Cybertruck. Will any of them actually get made, other than this snowcat? Right now, the Cybertruck has been delayed until at least 2023. Still, it would be a revolutionary design (though it may flop), and even its lower range model will have 250 miles.

Each of these electric pickup trucks offers a different look, style, and features, but all of them will help to change the way we look at electric vehicles. We’ll have to wait and see just how much of an impact each of them has on the automotive world – and which of them actually get made. Still, their popularity is undeniable, and that’s before any of them have officially hit the market.
