According to Edmunds, the most popular 2023 Infiniti QX60 trim is the Sensory model. Starting two slots above the Pure base model, it’s a very well-equipped trim that’s a little more costly. As the most popular QX60, it’s clear that consumers think it’s the best version of the vehicle. However, not every expert believes customers are buying the best version of the Infiniti SUV. Two prominent experts disagree with each other about the best 2023 Infiniti QX60 trim.

Edmunds recommends the QX60 Luxe

First, the experts at Edmunds recommend buying the 2023 Infiniti QX60 Luxe model. It says the extra features make it more valuable than the Pure trim, and it has more value than higher trims because of its starting price. The Luxe model starts at $56,275, which is about $6,000 more than the Pure base model. However, for that price, the Luxe trim is shockingly well-equipped.

Not only does every QX60 use a 295 horsepower 3.5-liter V6, but front-wheel drive is standard on every trim, with available AWD. Desirable upgrades the Luxe model receives include front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and a navigation system.

Additionally, ProPilot Assist enters the lineup for this price. It includes adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system, lane departure mitigation, traffic sign recognition, driver attention warning, and blind-spot intervention.

Next, another expert, Car and Driver, disagree with Edmunds about the best 2023 Infiniti QX60 trim. C/D suggests buying the Sensory model, which is just one above the Edmunds-recommended Luxe trim. Like the Luxe trim, the Sensory model provides plenty of standard features for the money. Starting at $59,795, it’s also the final trim in the lineup to cost under $60,000.

“It comes standard with premium features such as massaging front seats, heated second-row seats, an air purifier, wireless smartphone charging, a motion-activated power liftgate, and a 17-speaker Bose stereo system. Front-wheel drive is standard and will likely be fine for most buyers, but all-wheel drive is a $2000 option,” C/D said of the Sensory trim.

It might not be first on your priority list, but who doesn’t want a back massage in their SUV while driving? Features like these set apart the luxury brand from its rivals, even those that cost much more.

In conclusion, we find it difficult to disagree with either expert’s opinion. Our one takeaway is that the fully-loaded Autograph and the base model Pure are not the best choices. One is too costly without providing enough value, while the other falls short of its closely-priced successors. The Luxe and Sensory trims add enough equipment to achieve the 2023 Infiniti QX60‘s true “luxury SUV” status without getting outrageously expensive.
