The Ford Mustang Mach-E Select can go from 0-60 miles per hour in 5.2 seconds. It makes 266 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. Even the base model has mild muscle car chops. The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select starts at $43,895.

According to MotorTrend, a Mustang Mach-E electric SUV equipped with a standard range battery charges from 10% to 80% in 38 minutes using a 150-kilowatt charger. A model equipped with the long range battery charges from 10% to 80% in about 45 minutes. This is incredibly quick for an EV, as some models take hours to charge. Charging times are dependent on the power output of the EV charger.
Is the Mach-E worth it?
The U.S. government has incentivized its citizens to purchase electric vehicles by using federal tax credits. These federal tax credits make EVs more affordable for consumers while allowing automakers to charge prices that help them maintain healthy profitability. If you purchase a base model Mach-E Select and are able to redeem the tax incentive, its true price is reduced to about $36,395.
Considering the Mach-E’s attractive exterior styling, roomy cabin, and exciting driving dynamics, the electric SUV’s base model is worth it with the tax credit. That being said, the incentive won’t last forever and will gradually be phased out. Will consumers jump on the Mach-E and seize the incentive, or realize the electric SUV’s value when it’s too late?
