The 2025 Ford Mustang Dark Horse represents the most unhinged factory S650 model on the market, save for the six-figure, supercar-esque GTD. However, for some horsepower-hungry Mustang fans, nothing short of the now-discontinued S550 Shelby GT500 will cut it. Well, the latest Hennessey Mustang is here with its performance data, and it blows the base noir pony car off of the pasture.

The new Hennessey H850 Mustang Dark Horse will hit 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds on its way to a 10.9-second quarter mile

Hennessey was quick to descend on the seventh-generation ‘Stang. However, the Texas-based team went straight for the pony car’s throat, opting to build the Mustang Dark Horse to supercharged heights. That meant turning its attention to the Dark Horse’s naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8.

The result? The H850 Hennessey Mustang Dark Horse produces 850 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, a 70% power bump. Better yet, the latest acceleration data puts the H850-treated Dark Horse well ahead of the already-potent factory model.

John Hennessey, the Texas tuning house’s founder and CEO, commends the supercharged ‘Stang. “Our supercharged H850 Mustang Dark Horse builds on Ford’s commitment to provide automotive enthusiasts with passion products like the snarling V8-powered S650 Mustang.”

Of course, Hennessey isn’t the only brand building on the still-young S650. Shelby American recently announced its own supercharged Super Snake for the Coyote V8-powered Mustang. The Super Snake will produce over 830 horsepower in top spec. Not to mention the coveted namesake badge of Carroll Shelby.
