The first Aston Martin DBX 707 has rolled off of the assembly line in Wales and is on its way to its new owner soon. This particular DBX 707 has a blue exterior with a matching blue interior and was even inspected by the Secretary of State for Wales, Simon Hart MP. But that’s not what makes this landmark DBX 707 so great.

Aston Martin bills the DBX 707 as the “world’s most powerful luxury SUV”

In case you have never heard of it, the Aston Martin DBX 707 is based on the regular DBX, but has the addition of an AMG twin-turbo V8 engine. That engine churns out 697 hp and 663 lb-ft of torque, making it the most-powerful gas-powered luxury SUV. However, Autoblog handily points out that the timing of the DBX 707’s release is impeccable as the 707-hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is currently between generations. Had it not been, the Jeep would still hold the honor. But we digress.

Despite any superlatives, the DBX 707 is quite the asphalt burning. According to the British motor company, the DBX 707 is able to reach 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 193 mph. That’s impressive.

But what’s even more impressive is that the production of the DBX 707 makes it the first Welsh-built production car in almost 50 years. Aston Martin has recruited more than 100 skilled automotive technicians to build these special units, which will retail for $239,086 before any options are added.
