The Apocalypse 6×6 Jeep Gladiator
If you live in Florida and want a custom Jeep Gladiator, then check out a place called So Flo Jeeps. According to Auto Blog, this is where the custom 6×6 Florida Gladiator was created. It is known as the Apocalypse.
Honestly, this feels like a reasonable truck if you regularly hit the roads with Florida drivers. Don’t get mad Floridians, that was just a joke! But in relatively the Gladiator Apocalypse might be a doomsday prepare’s dream.
The Apocalypse Gladiator G is fitted with a 6.2-liter Corvette LS engine that pumps out 500 hp. The Apocalypse has a turbo diesel engine with 600 lb-ft of torque, and the G can tow up to 12,000 lb.
There is a 5-inch premium suspension lift, Falcon steering stabilizer Fox Shocks, a steel armor vicowl around the windshield, a steel grumper front end, built-in 9,500-pound winch, custom made steel flat fenders, LED headlights with color-changing halo lights, power steps, waterproof leather, and more.
One model known as the 2021 Apocalypse Hell Fire is listed for $179,000. Other options, such as the Apocalypse Doomsday 6×6, require you to contact So Flo jeeps for the price, and you can also have a custom Jeep built from scratch.
How does it compare to 2021 Gladiator?
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator may not have six wheels, but it can hold its own off the beaten track perfectly fine. You can get started with a 2021 Gladiator for about $33,565. This price may seem high, but it includes tons of goodies such as standard 4×4.
There are two engine options available:
- The 3.6-liter V6 engine provides 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
- The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine pumps out 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.
When properly equipped, the Gladiator can tow up to 7,650 lb. This is when you pick the Jeep Gladiator Sport or Sport S trim with an automatic transmission and the Max Tow package. The Rubicon maxes out at 7,000 lb.
2021 Gladiator features
What’s new for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator? Not much, actually. Aside from the new diesel-powered V6 engine, the Gladiator didn’t receive many updates. It’s still pretty new as it was recently released in 2019.
According to Edmunds, the Gladiator can be a little jiggly at times, but that’s due to the solid front axle and massive tires that enhance its off-roading capabilities. Also, because it has a longer wheelbase than the Jeep Wrangler, it provides a smoother ride.
The cabin does have a little wind noise, but other than that, it’s extremely comfortable. The seats are supportive, and the Gladiator offers one of the largest backseats in the segment. Plus, there is a lockable storage bin under the rear seat.
If this doesn’t provide enough power for survival scenarios, then you don’t have to settle. You can spring for an Apocalypse 6×6 Gladiator instead. But the lift and larger tires may impact fuel economy and ride quality.
